To All CLOBs 65/67/69,

We believe all of you have received the donation list which we sent out on December 29, 2012. 

Please let us know immediately if there are mistakes in the amount stated so that we can make the necessary changes.

If we do not hear anything from you by Jan 13, we shall confirm all the amount as stated in the donation list.

We received a RM 300.00 cheque without the account holder's name printed on the cheque. Photo of cheque enclosed (skip). 

We do not know who gave us the cheque. 

Can the owner please identify yourself?

The organising committee is going to meet this Sunday, Jan 13, to finalise the accounts of the Reunion Dinner and to set a date to hand over the money collected to the School and CLOBA Penang for the Scholarship Fund.

For those who have committed to donate and have not sent out the cheque yet, please do so within this week.

We have some balance from the dinner collection and this balance amount will be added onto the donation collected.

Total collections from dinner -  RM 21,300.00

Dinner   -  RM 11.988.00

Band  - RM 1,600.00

Show  - RM 3,510.00

Ang Pow for teachers - RM 700.00

Sunday Lunch  - RM 1,600.00

Total Expenses  -  RM 19,398.00

Balance  - RM 1,902.00

Details of the above will be attached on a later date after the handing over of the money to CLOBA Penang and the school.

To All Friends of Class 65/67/69.

Merry Christmas to all of you and your family. May God Bless you and your family abundantly with good health, joy and peace always.

We are going to finalised the total donations and accounts of the reunion dinner before 15th January 2013.

I attach herewith a list of the donations collected on that night for your checking and confirmation. The total amount collected as at today is RM 110,450.00

Please check the amount that I have entered in the list is correct and that I have not missed out any names or amount.

If I have missed any donation, do let me know immediately so that I could make the correction immediately.

At the same time, if there are some of you whom I have missed to approach for the donation on that night, or those of you who did not attend the dinner and would like to contribute or donate, you are welcome to do so as we have not finalised the accounts yet.

If you would like to contribute or donate, please write a cheque and pay to Tan Kok Aun and send it to the following address in Penang before December 31, 2012.

Many many thanks for those who took the trouble time to go back & joined in our great 45th year Reunion. Thanks to the great work put up by our organising committee under Tan Kok Aun 9511, Chin Fuan Wah 9799, Tan Kok Hin 9871, Saw Ewe Yong 9832 etc etc who put up great efforts in making this Reunion a success.

Dear classmates,

In the morning of  8^thDecember, a bunch of old men, many of whom had attained the title of Datoship (being a grandfather), went back to the classroom in Chung Ling High School (photo attached).  They were briefed on the latest development of the school.  Old men seemed to be enthusiastic.  Saw Ewe Yong even asked if they could enrol again.

One major change in the classroom that could be seen was the big screen and touch sensitive TV with internet connection in place of the black board.  The other was the CCTV camera that allowed the class to be monitored from a remote location.

For the sake of those who were away from Penang and not back for along time, I like to report that you can now find street arts at many locations in the old quarters of the city.  I saw the wall paintings at Armenian Street during my last trip, and found them to be interesting and creative work of art (photo attached). So you have another reason to return to Penang to rediscover it and join the next class reunion.

The Organising Committee of the 45th CLOB Reunion Dinner would like to thank all of you for the support and contributions to make it a successful night.

We are looking forward to see all of you again in 2015.

Since I am out of the country now and will be back only around end December, I shall send out the total collections and expenses for the dinner together with the contributions to the scholarship fund and Chung Ling Private School beginning of January 2013.
